General Questions
What is AImage?
AImage is a web-based AI image transformation platform that converts your photos into a variety of artistic and practical styles. We offer eight distinct tools: Cartoon, Cyberpunk, CG, Pixel Art, Colored Pencil, Old Photo Retouching, 1-Inch ID Photo, and Miniature Figurine. No design experience is required — just upload a photo and let the AI do the work.
How does AI image style transfer work?
AI style transfer uses deep neural networks trained on large collections of images in both their original and stylized forms. When you upload a photo, the AI analyzes its content — shapes, colors, textures, and structures — and renders that content in the visual language of the chosen style. The result preserves your subject's likeness while applying a new aesthetic.
Do I need to create an account to use AImage?
New visitors receive a limited number of free transformations without an account. To access your usage history, purchase additional credits, or subscribe to a Premium plan, you'll need to create a free account using Google or GitHub sign-in.
Is AImage free to use?
Yes, AImage offers a free tier that allows a limited number of image transformations. Free users can explore all eight tools. For higher usage, we offer a Premium subscription at $4.99/month and Boost Packs for one-time credit purchases.
What is the difference between the Premium plan and Boost Packs?
The Premium plan ($4.99/month) provides a monthly allocation of transformations, renewed each billing cycle. Boost Packs are one-time purchases of additional transformation credits — useful if you need extra capacity without committing to a monthly subscription. Both can be managed from your Billing page.
Image Requirements and Quality
What image formats does AImage accept?
AImage accepts standard image formats including JPEG, JPG, and PNG. For best results, use images in these formats rather than HEIC, WEBP, or RAW files.
What is the ideal image size for transformations?
We recommend images of at least 500×500 pixels for good results. Higher resolution images generally produce better output. Very large files (over 10MB) may need to be compressed before uploading for optimal processing speed.
Why does my transformation look blurry or low quality?
Output quality is closely tied to input quality. If your source image is low resolution, blurry, or poorly lit, the AI has less information to work with. For best results:
- Use images with at least 500px on the shortest dimension
- Ensure the subject is in sharp focus
- Use images with good, even lighting
- Avoid heavily compressed images
Can I transform group photos?
Yes, AImage can process group photos. Results are typically best with 2–3 people clearly visible in the frame. For very large groups where individual faces are small, the AI may produce less detailed results for individual subjects.
Can I use screenshots or images downloaded from the web?
Yes, you can upload any image you have the rights to use. We recommend using your own photographs for the best quality and to ensure you have the appropriate usage rights for the output.
Using the Tools
How long does a transformation take?
Most transformations process within 5–30 seconds, depending on image size and current server load. You'll see a processing indicator while the AI works, and the result will appear automatically when ready.
Can I redo a transformation if I don't like the result?
Yes. You can upload your image again and reprocess it. Note that each transformation uses one credit from your daily free allowance or your paid credit balance.
How do I download my transformed image?
Once the transformation is complete, a download button appears below the result image. Click it to save the full-resolution output to your device.
Can I use my transformed images commercially?
Images you transform using AImage are yours to use. We recommend reviewing our Terms of Service for full details on usage rights. For commercial campaigns or brand-level use, please contact us to discuss appropriate use cases.
Individual Tool Questions
Cartoon Tool: What style does the cartoon transformation use?
The Cartoon tool applies a Japanese anime-inspired illustration style characterized by bold black outlines, flat color fills, soft shading, and slightly enlarged eyes. It works best with portraits and clear human subjects.
Cyberpunk Tool: What kind of photos look best with the Cyberpunk effect?
The Cyberpunk tool produces the strongest results with portraits in low-light or artificially lit settings, images with existing high contrast, and urban or architectural subjects. Dark, moody source photos typically yield the most dramatic results.
Old Photo Retouching: What types of damage can AI repair?
The Old Photo Retouching tool is effective at removing dust and scratches, improving faded contrast, evening out yellowing, reducing film grain, and enhancing resolution. It works best on lightly to moderately damaged images. Severely damaged photos (large tears, significant physical destruction) may produce less complete results.
1-Inch ID Photo: What standard does the 1-inch photo format follow?
The 1-Inch ID Photo tool is calibrated to the Chinese standard 1-inch photograph format: 25×35mm at 300 DPI with the option of a white or blue background. This format is widely used for Chinese ID documents, certain visa applications, and similar official documents. Always verify the specific requirements of the document you're applying for.
Miniature Figurine: What does the figurine effect look like?
The Miniature Figurine tool transforms your photo into an image that appears to show a high-quality 3D resin or vinyl collectible figurine based on your subject. The output looks like a studio photograph of a premium designer toy — your likeness rendered in miniature sculptural form.
Privacy and Data Security
What happens to my photos after I upload them?
Uploaded images are processed to generate the transformed output and then handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your images to third parties or use them for advertising purposes. Please review our Privacy Policy for complete details on data retention and handling.
Are my photos used to train AI models?
Please refer to our Privacy Policy for the most current and accurate information on how uploaded images may be used in relation to model training and improvement.
Is my personal information secure?
AImage uses industry-standard security practices including HTTPS encryption for all data transmission and secure authentication through established providers (Google, GitHub). We do not store your passwords — authentication is handled entirely by your chosen provider.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. If you wish to delete your account and associated data, please contact us at the email address on our Contact Us page and we will process your request.
Troubleshooting
My transformation failed. What should I try?
If a transformation fails, try the following steps:
- Refresh the page and try uploading the image again
- Check that your image is in a supported format (JPEG, PNG)
- Ensure the file size is not excessively large (try compressing if over 10MB)
- Try a different browser or clear your browser cache
- If the problem persists, contact us with details of the issue
I've run out of free transformations. What are my options?
Once you've used your daily free allocation, you can either wait for the next day's allocation to reset, purchase a Boost Pack for immediate additional credits, or subscribe to a Premium plan for a larger monthly allocation.
The result doesn't look right — the faces seem distorted. Why?
Occasional artifacts or distortions can occur, especially with:
- Very low resolution source images
- Images with unusual lighting or extreme shadows
- Photos where the subject's face is partially obscured
- Group photos with many small faces
Trying a different, higher-quality source image usually resolves these issues.
